The French Rose of Skincare
We al have those moments were we discover the new it brand, and we are usually sucked in by the large volume or bloggers, YouTubers, Influencers and magazines that make us aware of how incredible this new cult brand is. You may find yourself instantly lusting for the product yourself. Some of may not hesitate and purchase the item straight away but others may hesitate to buy. When it comes to investing in new skincare I certainly hesitate to buy. When I discovered BYTERRY it sounded like something that would work for me, or I hoped would. But instead of wondering, I sought, and ended up at the BYTERRY counter at SpaceNK. Where my new skincare journey began.
BYTERRY is a super elegant French brand where a lot of care and attention is put into every single product that hits the shelf. For a long time I have admired their collection, not only do their products look gorgeous but the packaging is so beautiful that you’ll end up wanting everything sitting on your bedside table. A couple of weeks ago I published a post called ‘Why I Choose to Spend a Higher Value on Skincare.’ The reason I wrote it was because I was currently in the market for a new brand to invest my money in. I feel like this post will make a good follow up, and may even inspire you to take a leap of faith to try such an amazing brand.
Although I have tried a few makeup pieces from the brand it wasn’t until I started watching Lydia Elise Millen‘s YouTube Channel that I got the inspiration to explore the other items on offer. In the UK at the moment the two best places to get you hands on BYTERRY is SpaceNK and Harrods. As always, although you can purchase items over the online stores, I feel it always best to purchase them in store in order to sample the products first. This will also allow someone to tailor the suitable products to your needs as not every product will work for everyone.
This time I tried to focused on the the skin underneath my blemishes. Previously I’ve only been concerned about trying to control my breakouts. While visiting the BYTERRY counter at SpaceNK I decided firstly I wanted to focus on getting the base of a new cleansing routine down. One good thing about BYTERRY’s skincare collection is isn’t massive, you can narrow down a full routine within a couple of products. This means there is no overly complicated face mapping, everything is straight and to the point. After being shown various products that would be suitable for my own skin, I decided on three key products to start off my BYTERRY obsession! So I purchased a Cleanser, Toner and Moisture Serum.
BYTERRY Cellularose Skincare Collection
BYTERRY Cellularose Cleansing Oil: A lightweight oil that is soothing and gentle enough to be used on the eyes. Not only a fantastic day cleanser but it is also great for taking off makeup. I have enjoyed using this product so far, the rose leaves my skin looking less patchy with redness and it doesn’t leave a sticky residue on the skin. The oil is a mixture of light oils such as jojoba oil, camellia oil and olive oil extract which leaves the skin feeling nourished and moisturised. It is also gentle enough that you can use it to remove makeup (even waterproof makeup). If you are not a fan of oil cleansers, there is also a gel cleanser within the collection.
BYTERRY Cellularose Hydra Toner: A refreshing toner that leaves your skin feeling hydrated and comforted. This is such a beautiful toner and works so well with the cleansing oil. The toner is so hydrating that you could even use it as a face mist throughout the day if you find your skin gets dry during the day. Again with the rose being the active ingredient you will notice your skin will look clearer, with pore size reduced. The product achieves these benefits through the brightening white rose cells and organic hydrating complex without leaving any tautness or dryness. I am also finding this product great during the summer weather, and would be a fantastic essential for your summer trips .
BYTERRY Cellularose Hydra-Eclat Serum: This super hydrating serum leaves skin feeling intensely hydrated and radiant. This is a great product for any of you who find any sort of dryness on your skin even if you haven’t classed it as a major problem as I soon discovered. The moment this product touched my skin it was instantly absorbed as if it hadn’t been looked after in years. This serum is mainly a re-energising anti dull complexion concentrate, which is great for anyone looking for more vitalised and radiant skin. I definitely prefer to use this product in the morning because of this, as it creates a great base to later apply makeup. If you feel as though your skin doesn’t need a intense hydration there is another version of this product which is more a brightening serum.
Another product I got the opportunity to try was the Cellularose Brightening CC Serum which is actually apart of the makeup collection despite it having some skincare benefits. As it contains the Cellularose formulation it has similar benefits to the products I’ve discussed above but with makeup properties. This product acts a bit like a skin illuminator before applying foundation but still works equally as well on its own. The product comes in 4 shades, my favourite two being Apricot Glow and Sunny Flash (Sunny Flash is a beautiful bronze shade which is amazing for sunny days and holidays). This is a great product to even out skin tone and to create a ‘lit from within’ natural glow.
There is a great variety of makeup products within the BYTERRY make up collection. And if you haven’t previously tried BYTERRY before this may be the best place to start as it will allow you to see the quality and expertise that goes into every single product and I promise you won’t be disappointed.
So these have been the BYTERRY products I have been trying over the past month. I hope this post has giving you some inspiration to possibly try this brand or if you have tried it possibly giving some different products a go. If you have tried BYTERRY before then I would love to know what products you have tried! Let me know in the comments below!
