Follow Me Around St Andrews, Scotland

Recently I had some time off work to enjoy a bit of the summer. Unfortunately for me though I wasn’t jetting off to some exotic destination, I just had to make do with what was on my doorstep. Still I managed a little day trip to St Andrews, which was just amazing.

If you are a bit unfamiliar with St Andrews it is home to the world famous The Old Course golf course which is used for The Open. And of course The University of St Andrews is there, where Prince William met Kate Middleton. So of course by these facts alone St Andrews has become a bit of a tourist hotspot. But pushing that a side It’s a wonderful place to visit if you are looking to do some shopping, grab some lunch and soak in some of the views.

We spent most of our time exploring the town, and exploring the shops. At one point we stumbled across a crumbled cathedral where an unprepared photo shoot took place, so I suppose I should tell you about my outfit of choice. I’m not going to tell you where I got these pieces as they have been sitting in my wardrobe for a while but I can at least tell about the style. I went for a bit of high fashion rock chic look. It wasn’t a relatively warm day so I wanted to incorporate some boots and jacket into my look. So I teamed my faux leather trousers and basic white tee with my knee high black boots and my loose fitting blazer from River Island. And it was a surprisingly comfy outfit for an all day trip.

The grounds of the university is so stunning and worth a visit. At first it’s strange walking in as it’s all gated. It would nice if they put a nice seating out for visitors after term time was over so you could sit and relax in what was quite peaceful area.

And of course there was time to stop for some ice cream. The ice cream parlour was filled with so many flavours I was surprised I was able to choose but I went for Nutella and Parma Violet.

I hope you enjoyed this post! And I hope you enjoy Because this is the launch week there will be another post on Wednesday.

Where is your favourite place to visit over Summer?
